Student to work Spain — Hoja 58 modification
Use this when an eligible study or training stay becomes a residence-and-work route through EX-26.
Can I change from student stay to work residence in Spain?
Yes, if Hoja 58 and RD 1155/2024 art. 190 cover your study/training stay and you already obtained the required qualification or certificate. This is an EX-26 modification, not a new consular visa route.
Which work route do I choose inside Hoja 58?
Choose the target work authorization your facts can prove: employed work, self-employed work, highly qualified, or exemption from work authorization. Hoja 58 is the modification bridge, not the full evidence pack for every work route.
Conditions
RD 1155/2024 art. 190 requires an eligible long-stay study/training authorization and the obtained qualification or certificate. The target route then determines whether art. 74, art. 84, a highly qualified route, or art. 89.2 applies.
Materials
Core materials are EX-26, passport, current study stay proof, the certificate or qualification, and the evidence for the target work route. For employed work this is employer-side evidence; for self-employment it is project, licence, qualification, investment and viability evidence.
Costs and channel
Hoja 58 identifies 790-052 epigraph 2.5 for modification. It identifies 790-062 for employed-work authorization where that branch applies. Filing is through Mercurio.
What to do
Prove the certificate first, then prove the target work route.
