Renewal documents — the common checklist every route shares
Before your route-specific evidence, every renewal needs these base documents.
What documents does every renewal need?
Regardless of your route, all renewals require:
• Valid passport (original + copy of all stamped pages)
• Current TIE card (original + copy, front and back)
• Empadronamiento certificate (recent, usually within 3 months)
• Tasa 790-052 receipt (bank-stamped original)
• Completed application form (EX-00 or route-specific form)
These go into every file. Your route adds specific evidence on top — work contract, tax returns, enrollment, etc.
What about photos and copies?
One recent passport-size photo (white background, 32×26mm).
Make copies of everything before submission. The office keeps originals of the tasa receipt and form; everything else they stamp and return.
Do not photocopy the tasa receipt — use the bank-stamped original.
