Follow the channel on your own receipt. Domestic permission and a consular visa have different stages and decision clocks.
Where do I check my application?
Domestic case: open the official status checker.
Consular case: use the tracking or contact channel on your visa receipt.
A status display or email alert is not the formal notification.
Does no response mean approval?
No. A valid domestic initial case has a two-month negative-silence rule under Article 54.3.
The consular authorization stage has its own seven-day negative clock from the consular communication; the favorable visa stage has a one-month clock under Article 36.
While the domestic initial case is pending
For a valid initial domestic family application, Article 56.4 imports Article 54.3: your lawful situation extends until the decision.
This does not grant dependent work permission and does not mean a student-only renewal protects an unfiled family case.
After the consulate approves
Follow the collection deadline and visa validity stated in the formal notice and issued visa.
Keep the visa and entry evidence for the arrival/card stage; a favorable authorization message alone is not an issued travel visa.
Electronic notice
For required or chosen electronic notification, Article 43 sets the access rules and ten-calendar-day non-access rule.
An alert email does not replace opening the actual notice; preserve its publication and access dates.

Steps
- Save your own receipt, filing date and case reference.
- Check through the domestic or consular channel that received your application.
- Open formal electronic notices in DEHú when that is your notification channel.
- Reply to a document request through the exact notice channel and deadline.
- On approval, collect the issued visa or follow the domestic card step; on refusal, read the stated remedy.
