Requerimiento response — how do I submit the missing documents?

Read the actual request before counting days. Its service date, deadline and designated submission channel control your response.

Is the response deadline always ten days?

No. Article 68 generally gives ten working days, but the specific procedure can differ.
A Spanish-family request under Article 97.6 sets a deadline no greater than fifteen days.
Use the period and day type stated in your actual notice.

Where do I find and answer the request?

Open DEHú if it is your notification channel, or use the channel named in your case.
Submit through the channel designated in the request.
That can differ from your original application channel.

Electronic service has two separate clocks

Article 43: opening the electronic notice serves it.
If electronic service is mandatory or expressly chosen, ten calendar days without opening from availability is treated as rejection of notification.
Those ten calendar days are not your document-response deadline.

Counting working days

Under Article 30, working-day periods exclude Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays and begin the day after service.
Use the applicable calendar and the notice’s period. A request issued on a date is not automatically served on that date.

If documents cannot arrive in time

Article 68.2 permits up to five extra days for special difficulty, outside selective/competitive procedures, when granted.
Request an extension before expiry; your request alone does not grant it. Submit available evidence and explain the missing item.

If you do not respond

For an Article 68 correction request, failure can lead to withdrawal by an express decision, then archive.
That differs from a substantive refusal. Read the actual closing decision and its remedy; do not assume you must immediately restart everything.

What to do

Open the notice, calculate its deadline, then submit the exact response.

Bring

  • Complete formal request
  • Service/access date evidence
  • Requested corrected or missing documents
  • Case reference and identification
  • Submission receipt

Steps

  1. Save the complete notice and its service/access record.
  2. List each defect or requested document and its deadline.
  3. Count from the day after legal service, using the notice’s day type and calendar.
  4. Prepare the requested evidence and submit by the designated channel.
  5. Keep the dated filing receipt and the exact documents submitted.

Article68 governs correction and possible extension; Article30 counts periods; Article43 serves electronic notices. Spanish-family Article97.6 has its own capped request period.
