What is empadronamiento?
Registration of your address in the municipal census. Mandatory for all residents in Spain. Required for almost every immigration procedure.
Where do I do it?
At your municipality's town hall (Ayuntamiento). Usually requires an appointment. Each town hall has its own booking system.
What documents do I need?
Passport or NIE, rental contract or property deed, and authorization from the homeowner if it's not you.
