DA20 regularization — bring the asylum withdrawal
If you got residence through the 2026 extraordinary regularization and had an asylum case, bring proof of withdrawal to your fingerprint appointment.
What document do I need?
The official withdrawal certificate from the Asylum and Refuge Office (Oficina de Asilo y Refugio).
Two cases require it:
1. You withdrew your international protection application
2. You appealed a denial and withdrew the appeal
Without this document, Police will not issue your TIE.
Where do I get it?
From the Asylum and Refuge Office — download the withdrawal form or file electronically through their sede.
What to do
Get the withdrawal proof before your fingerprint appointment. Without it, you lose the appointment.
Bring
- Withdrawal certificate from Oficina de Asilo y Refugio
- Or: withdrawal of appeal if you appealed a denial
Basis
RD 316/2026 (DA20) establishes the 2026 extraordinary regularization. The ICP fingerprint portal explicitly requires the asylum withdrawal certificate as part of the documentation for DA20 TIE issuance.
