Which tasa do I need?
Modelo 790 code 012 for TIE card issuance. Paid per application (first time, renewal, duplicate). The amount is calculated automatically when you select your authorization type.
How do I fill it out?
Go to the National Police portal, enter your details, choose your trámite type (amount fills automatically), download the PDF and print it. Select Principal unless you are paying a top-up.
Where do I pay?
At any bank (Santander, BBVA, CaixaBank, Sabadell…) with the printed form. You can pay in cash or from your bank account. The bank stamps your copy.
What mistakes must I avoid?
Never photocopy the tasa: each form has a unique code. It must print fully down to the "Ejemplar para la Administración" line at the bottom. Wrong amount or incomplete form = application rejected.
