Lote signals — what actually means your card may be ready
Not every sign means your card is there. Know which signals to trust before visiting the office.
Can a pickup appointment prove my card is ready?
No. A pickup slot is a weak signal. The stronger signal is the office’s current lote reaching or passing the number on your fingerprint receipt.
Why do some people get appointments before their lote appears?
Pickup calendars and card production are different systems. A calendar can show available slots before your card is physically ready, especially in offices that open appointments in batches.
What signals should I trust first?
Trust the sequence: fingerprint receipt, correct office, correct year, then current lote for that office. Sede status and ICP pickup availability belong to different parts of the process.
Does Barcelona work differently?
Barcelona has used automatic assignment patterns for fingerprint appointments, while many provinces rely on manual ICP booking. That affects how you get the fingerprint appointment, not the basic rule that lote starts after fingerprints.
When should I go to pickup?
Go when your office’s lote has reached your number and the office pickup method matches your receipt: CON CITA, SIN CITA, or a published pickup window.
Basis
Lote assignment and queue progression are managed per office. A pickup slot appearing in ICP is a secondary signal; the primary indicator is the office's current processing lote reaching or passing your assigned number. Progression speed varies by office and fluctuates over time.
